Orfeo Music Festival is an international classical music event widely known for its artistic excellence. The Festival takes place in Europe each summer, typically in the Italian alpine town Vipiteno and occasionally in other locations. World-class musicians return year after year to Orfeo to welcome audiences with a series of distinguished solo and chamber music concerts and to mentor the new generation of musical talent who dream of reaching the highest standards in music performance. From the time of its founding in 2003, the Festival’s mission is to celebrate and promote artistic excellence, to provide superior education, nurture creativity, and to build lasting human and artistic bonds. The public and participants are drawn to Orfeo for the exhilarating music making and culture created here every summer.

The fruits of in-depth rehearsals are brought to the public in daily chamber music concerts. Student participants have the opportunity to challenge themselves to exceed their limits, take risks, be transformed by hearing concerts of Orfeo’s master musicians, to attend or play or sing in masterclasses with acclaimed guest and resident artists. They can perform in concert or play for fun with new music friends, they can exchange creative ideas and engage in musical dialogues at chamber music rehearsals or create opera scenes together, meet new people and have fun.
